Our client needed to present the impact of several management adjustments on the reported EPS of a company. Their concept was to lay out the data as a table. We showed them a different approach. We graphed the analysts projected EPS as a baseline target, plotted the true non-adjusted EPS and then showed the impact of management adjustments on EPS. In nearly every case, the management adjustments moved the EPS closer to the analysts’ estimates.
Our client requested a tutorial on the heart anatomy and implantation of a coronary stent for a patent litigation tutorial. Originally, they requested a 3-D animation but we felt we could develop an effective series of still frames that illustrated the relevant anatomy and stent delivery at a fraction of the cost of 3-D animation.
Complex networking technology had to be effectively illustrated for our client’s claim construction argument to be understood. We designed this series of graphics to help explain the functional operation of the patent claim using a simplified example of the patented system.
Patent infringement analysis is a lengthy and detailed portion of expert testimony. We simplified the approach by taking the claim language one element at a time and compared it to the preferred embodiment using a combination of illustration, product photography, and photo illustration.
